Child Welfare 101

Participants will:
- Identify key components of the North Carolina Child Welfare System, including the role of local Departments of Social Services (DSS) and county child welfare workers
- Describe coordination activities with county child welfare workers
- Identify ways to incorporate foster parents, biological/adoptive parents, and kinship caregivers into the care planning process
- Identify resources for youth aging out of foster care
