North Carolina’s 1915(i) services allows you to get Medicaid services to support your independence at home or in the community.
Vaya Health, along with North Carolina’s other local management entities/managed care organizations (LME/MCOs) offers 1915(i) services for people with significant behavioral health needs, intellectual/ developmental disabilities, and/or traumatic brain injuries.
1915(i) services are a type of home- and community-based services. They can help you or a loved one live at home, find a job, learn skills to participate in the community, recover from substance use disorder, and more.
Services include:
- Respite
- Community Transition
- Individual Placement and Support – Supported Employment
- Individual and Transitional Support
- Community Living and Support
If you are interested in these services, you will need to enroll in Tailored Care Management. You also must get an independent assessment to make sure 1915(i) services are right for you. A care manager will work with you to complete the assessment.
