Vaya Health was recently honored with two awards highlighting the organization’s continued support to communities in Chatham and Stokes counties.
Named as the Community Partnership of the Year by the Chatham County Board of Health and receiving the 2024 Champion for Children Community Partner awards for Stokes County by the Stokes Partnership for Children, Vaya continues to demonstrate unwavering commitment to youth health in the communities served.
Chatham County
During its annual meeting, the Chatham County Board of Health recognized Vaya for outstanding partnership and service. Board of Health Chair Karen Davis emphasized the significance of Vaya’s contributions, sharing, “Their dedication to serving others is an inspiration to us all.”
This sentiment echoed throughout the evening, emphasizing the pivotal role Vaya plays in enhancing health care access across the county while addressing critical needs – particularly surrounding youth mental health resources.
“I also appreciate the partnership and presence Vaya has brought since taking over these services in Chatham a couple of years ago, which has made a significant impact locally,” said Chatham County Public Health Director Mike Zelek.
Stokes County
The Stokes Partnership for Children also recognized Vaya’s commitment to youth support, presenting the organization with the “2024 Champion for the Children Community Partner” award. The annual award recognizes organizations that demonstrate exceptional support through contributions of time, talent, and resources.
At its annual meeting, SPC celebrated the 30th anniversary of the organization, updated the community on the year’s accomplishments, and recognized valued partners. Vaya was honored to be among this exclusive group of individuals and organizations awarded for efforts to expand health care access across the county.
These awards are a testament to Vaya’s commitment to forging meaningful partnerships that benefit the residents of each unique community.
